AlbumConcept2

The last year has been a crazy whirlwind and it’s tuff to put into words how amazing it really has been. Late last year we finally finished our first album Shut Up & Party! After signing a distribution deal with Ingroves we divided the album into two parts and released Shut Up & Party! Part One on Dec 8th.
After we had finished the album we started work on remixing Kid Cudi’s Day & Night as well as the Black Eyed Peas hit I Gotta Feeling. Between those two tracks we managed to get 270,000 YouTube views on those two videos alone. We’ve also had the pleasure of working with some pretty talented artist on our own videos including Nicholifavs “The Apple Store Kid”.

Now that 2010 is here we’ve got some pretty exciting events coming up and I wanted to take a quick second to share.

Currently we are working a new track we’ll be adding to Shut Up & Party! Part Two and should be finished with it shortly.

We are also pumped about our up-n’-coming show on March 25th at the Rhythm Lounge we’re we’ll be playing our second show presented by Girls Gone Graff.

Finally we’ll be shooting a new video for our song Idiowild (off of SU&P pt2) and need your help. Please hit us up if you’re interested in being part of a fun music video.

There are so many things I love about being a Pseudo Rebel. First I get to work with two great friends on doing what I love most, making music. Second, I get to play live shows and be an idiot on stage. Plus I get to collaborate with great people like Nicholifavs “The Apple Store Kid” and DPD from FRA (Future Rock Stars of America) making music videos.

To be honest normally making a music video is hard work. Please don’t get me wrong, it’s almost always a blast but usually requires either 18 hour days or me dressing in shorts so short a Hooters girl would feel naked. However the making of This Is My Mic was one of the quickest and smoothest shoots we’ve ever had. And that’s with us getting kicked out of Apple Store before we were able to finish the video. Luck for us there’s more than one Apple Store in LA. On top of all of that Apple featured the video on their Quick Time Guide.
So please check this video and feel free to go to your local Apple Store and make a video response for us.

Okay, so last week I already expressed my opinion on the whole Conan vs. Leno Late Night wars. For quite awhile now I’ve been a huge fan of Conan and his show. I hate to see him go and am rooting for Fox to jump in and give O’Brien another go at it.
In the mean time Jimmy Kimmel (whom I’ve always liked) took several pot shots at Leno on while doing a segment on Jay’s show last week. I’m a little surprised that Jay had him on his show to begin with seeing as how Jimmy has always been incredibly quick with the quips. If you remember Win Ben Stein’s Money then I’m sure you remember Kimmel’s witty, rapid fire replies to the show’s contestants. Also there was that whole Melissa Joan Heart thing as well.
Either way Conan will always be my favorite but in the mean time thank you Jimmy!

FEARO’S B-DAY BASH of GIRLS GONE GRAFFITI

Pseudo Rebels Live at Rhythm Lounge

Pseudo Rebels Live at Rhythm Lounge

Ok, so over the past year we’ve had some shows that I’ve been incredibly pumped up to play. We’ve had the honor of opening for such acts as FM (Far East Movement), Flynn Adams and Pigeon John as well as some great local LA and Long Beach acts. All this to say I’m beyond hyped for the FEARO’S B-DAY BASH of GIRLS GONE GRAFFITI on February 11th at the Rhythm Lounge in Long Beach.
This show/party is going to be off hook! Havok from the Beat Junkies be spinning along with DJ Trixter. There will be performances from Aloe Blacc, Medusa, Otherwize, and many others. And oh yeah, did I mention there will be a grip of graffiti artist doing murals on 20 live models. Yeah.
This should be an incredible night so plan now to come out and we’ll release more info as the show gets closer.
