Hey ya’ll! Hope all is well out there. Just wanted to take a second to say “what up” and let you know about some stuff going on in the Pseudo Rebel camp. Okay, here goes. So as you may or may not know our album is complete and set for release later this summer. We’ve been hard at work getting some videos ready and preparing the whole promotion thing. I really can’t wait to share the music and videos with you all. In the mean time we’ve released our Kid Cudi Day and Night remix and have loved getting your feed back. |

Everyone has been celebrating Michael Jackson’s iconic influence on pop/dance music the last few days. And it’s been a wonderful time to reflect on the huge impact that this man had. Our new record Shut Up & Party! is influenced greatly by Michael’s work and I wanted to share a few specific examples. “Beat It” is my first MJ memory and I just love that mysterious intro that pops in to the beat. Below is a clip from Beat It and below that is a clip from our lead-off track Janet Louise. When you listen to them both it is easy to hear the influence! Beat It example READ THE REST & DISCUSS → |

Hey ya’ll, happy Saturday! A little over a month ago I read an article in Spin Magazine about this singer song writer Emily Wells. I checked out her Myspace page and instantly fell in love. This woman is an amazing talent with some fantastic songs, including a great cover of the Notorious B.I.G song Juicy. I was able to see her live in Hollywood at the Hotel Café last weekend and it was one of the most unique live shows I’ve seen in quite awhile. Check her out. |

I don’t think that I have heard one bit of positive news about Michael Jackson in maybe 10 years? Now, the “King of Pop” is dead and the first e-mail that I received was a picture of little kids peaking out of a cupboards with a tag line that read ” It’s OK, you can come out now”. It’s too bad that Michael Jackson’s legacy is going to include so many skeletons. Especially since there were also so many highlights as he made his way through the pop world and changed the course of music as we know it. Here are a few…
I think everyone can remember the day they watched the “Thriller” Dance This is the Michael that everyone fell in love with

Hey ya’ll it’s your boy DP3! Hope all is well out there. Just wanted to take a second a share something I found on Youtube last weekend. This kid is so cool it blows my mind. Do n’ his thing in the middle of an Apple store. You gotta love it! I think my favorite part is the Dick Cheney look-alike looking over his shoulder in the beginning. Cracks me up and scare me at the same time. Anyway, like I said, I think this kid way cool and wanted to share. This is One of the earliest performance from the Apple Store Kid Nicholifavs of the Pseudo Rebels remix of Kid Cudi’s Day and Night in an Apple Store. |
